Embark on this unique adventure with our 14-night immersive wilderness experience and safari in a remote part of the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Discover untamed beauty as you explore the untouched landscapes of this UNESCO World Heritage Site - always accompanied by James and another experienced local guide.

The Delta is renowned for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife and you will be able to fully immerse yourself in this pristine wilderness, where every corner unveils a new marvel. Traversing through floodplains, mystical savannah and palm-studded islands, this trip will allow spectacular wildlife viewing in a private and secluded part of this renowned safari destination. It will also provide an extraordinary educational experience of this land and provide you with a grounded knowledge of its flora and fauna as well as living and survriving in a remote wilderness environment with big game.

The trip will be based in the south-western section of the Okavango Delta., where the seasonal floodwaters of the delta spill out into the parched Kalahari sand. For the duration of the trip, you will be using the charming Kwapa Camp as your base.

Kwapa is located in an area brimming with wildlife - especially Elephant and common plains game such as Giraffe, Zebra and Impala. Sightings of big predators are very frequent - especially in terms of Leopard, Spotted Hyena and Wild Dog - the latter of which often dens very close to camp and the area is home to one of the largest packs in Africa. Lions also frequent the area but are less dominant than in other areas of Botswana. Birdlife is also rich and the Okavango is the the stronghold for populations of several endangered African bird species including Wattled Crane, Slaty Egret and Pel‘s Fishing Owl.
