A wide range of activities are on offer, including day and night game drives, walking safaris, seasonal mokoros and a 30-minute scenic helicopter flight between April and November, allowing guests to experience this pristine area from the air.

The area is best known for its large herds of Elephants which move toward the Linyanti River at the start of the winter months and only move back inland once the main rains arrive. The Elephants are in turn accompanied by impressive herds of Buffalo - which often number in their hundreds. In turn, the Buffalo are followed by their main nemesis - Lions. In terms of other wildlife, Sable, Roan, Leopard and Wild Dog are also frequent visitors to Linyanti an d the marshy areas always hold Red Lechwe, Hippo, Crocodile and even the rare Sitatunga antelope.

Linyanti is also one of the best birdwatching locations in Southern Africa and the best time of year for this is in November, when large numbers of migratory species move in.
